Reach up inside and feel for this connector found just below the center brake light.
With your finger, pull the black clip away from plug while pulling downward on black plug.

Expose 2-pin connector for accessibility (left).

Connect 2-pin connector to the mating connector on the Brake Light Pulser harness.
Note the correct orientation and seat the connector until it snaps into place.

Plug remaining connector from the Brake Light Pulser harness into the third brake light from which you unplugged the factory connector in step 2.
Again, note the correct orientation and seat the connector until it snaps into place.

This shows Brake Light Pulser harness being plugged into 3rd brake light socket.
(Ha ha. It's harder to take this photo than to snap the plug into the socket!)

TESTING

With engine off, stand behind the car and look at the center high mount brake lens. Ask someone to press
depress the brake pedal. The lamp will pulse for about one second, then it will stay on.

Ask the person to release the brake pedal; the lamp will go off.

If you depress the pedal again within 10 seconds, the lamp will not pulse, but come on normally.

Release the pedal and wait 10 seconds or more. Depress the pedal again and the lamp will pulse again then remain on.

Once you've verified proper operation, reinstall the backup lights into the license plate bracket and reinstall the bracket.
